The Sims Social Beta Release Problems
Posted by in NewsThe start is never easy, especially if you’re launching such a big project as The Sims Social on Facebook and millions of fans start playing it at once.
As we all know The Sims Social has been having some technical problems throughout the first week of launch. At some time on the first days The Sims Social has even been down for maintenance. Later Playfish tried to control the amount of players starting to play so they opened up the game gradually by countries. By now everyone should be allowed to enter The Sims Social game.
Thank you all for your patience and support while jumping into The Sims Social Beta. The Sims Social team will continue to collect your feedback and work hard to fix any outstanding issues.

alright… I have a friend who has been trying to be my “good friend” for a while now… it says that I already have a request from her, but when I go into my message box, there isn’t anything there… what gives?
I am also experiencing this problem. I have had this problem with one neighbor for at least the past 4 months. Today, I started having the problem with a second neighbor. Did you ever get the issue resolved?
The Sims Social is the buggiest beta I’ve played in a while–and I can’t even play it right now, thanks to tech issues–but I love it!
I have a concern to let you guys know about. I was moving my rooms around & when I was done my bathroom sink disappeared!! Very upsetting because I had to use money to buy a new one

My hole living room dissapeared along with all of the items I had when I started the game plus all that I had managed to buy with sim cash – a double bed, a fireplace, stereo, tv, guitar, bookcase, computer, … I fell really disapointed and kinda lost my will to play again ….

Yes. When you want to buy new clothes, you can change your gender.
every time i load i have been stuck at 65% and i cant load anymore…i use a different account to log in but it load successfully…what had happened?!
I can’t even go into sims. They keep saying “Seems like we are having a snag”. I refresh 30 times, same result. Please fix it. I really like sims social. And im playing with my girlfriend. We are huge fans of sims.

The game is fun as hell, but it won’t load for me! It stalls out at 65% and my friends that play the game have told me that I am no longer friends with them. Hopefully you guys can get everything sorted out. I wanna play!!!
Please fix it as soon as possible. Everyone is having fun except me. My sims i think probably is dying of hunger, bladder infection, gastric, anti-social problem and depression.
After the server was down, and i was hoping you guys fix it, BUT, i still cannot go in. Its been 1 week now. Its really frustrating to not being to play with my girlfriend. I am kinda dissapointed.
I am trying to build my bookcase and i was so close to having enough Muse to build it. I went back though and I no longer had the Muse I had collected!! This is very frustrating. Also it keeps telling me that one of my neighbors wants to be good friends but there is no message in my inbox. I wish for it to get fixed soon… :/
I’ve just got this, I can’t add friends, I can’t gift, I can’t get help with anything, so I can’t do any quests….its a tad boring…

Sims doesn laod for me either at all doesnt matetr wich browser im in. i just get a white page with nothing.. been like this now for about 2 or 3 days i hope you guys can find out the problem. cause i wsas thinking of buying the real game… now im just not so sure.. since i cant test this out more.

I am trying to date someone on sims social so i did everything to do it and so did she we sent the request and accepted it. When u go on facebook wall it says we are together but it does not on the game. Also just for her it always says error code try again later when sending request for nything and it gets really annoying when i need something from her or she needs something from me … i hope it is fixed soon

Well i can’t send anything & when i try to accept a gift or a neighboor it just opens the game and nothing happends and my room disapeard but the objects didn’t & i can’t send gifts.But everything else is fine.

I can’t send back items or send them out. When I click “send,” the game starts to load, but never finishes. My friends having been sending requests for items, can this be fixed?
I cannot seem to click on one of my neighbours guitar and as part of another acheivement i have to use my neighbours guitars to complete acheivement is there anyway this can be fixed PLEASE!!!! its doing my head in.
I also had lost my stereo while moving rooms and furniture around i think that maybe a glitch so if this is fixed thanks.

Why does my sim keep staying an dating
I try to restore the free room the 6×8 with stuff inside like sofas tvs a lot of expensive stuff in it. ( The free room from the game ) But when i restore it every thing lost not just the room with my tvs sofas all. not a single piece was left now I have lost about 10 k to build a new room and buy new tvs and sofas. It is so annoyed me very much. The room that i need to build cost about 5k and i have to buy all new stuff. Where the f**k is my stuff. It make me cry because i have lost a lot of expensive and limited thing . Please return my stuff and my room. I wont have such a lot of money for that.

Request loading issue. Any time I try to send out requests to my friends or post a Sims Social update on my news feed, the loading box continues to load without ever allowing me to send off the request or post. I am updated on the newest version of flash also. This has been occurring for several days now. Fix it, pleasee

I keep having one of my problems with one of my rooms. I’m trying to re-decorate my house but everytime i rotate a particular room the games freezes. It only happens to this one room so i can’t move it at all.
Everything else works fine but now i have an incomplete house with a room i can’t touch =/

Mine too. There is one particular room that I can’t move nor flip nor sell. When I try to do something on it. The game said that there is an error like “they’ve hit a snag something” and that I have to reload it again.
Is your problem fixed already?

Great game, but it has problems
1) cannot revive crops … and have a task that asks for it
2) freeze / reload problem moving/rotating room(s)

I’m beginning to lose interest here. It’s been at least a week and I cannot send any requests for anything and I cannot send a gift to anyone. It keeps telling me that I have done all of the gifting for that day and come back tomorrow…after 7 days, I think I should have reached a “tomorrow”. I have got a room i’m building and all my friends have ‘helped me’ but when i click the build button it just tells me they’ve hit a snag and please reload. Please fix this soon because it cost me £5000 and if it doesn’t work i can only sell it back for £400
I am having the same problem. There is no sense in trying to play if I can’t get my kitchen expansion built. It was expensive, took time to get friends to assist and now the “build” button won’t work. Says there is a glitch “oops” and please “reload”. That doesn’t work. Have done it off and on all day long. Very frustrating!! I have no kitchen at all now.

this is the first time i’ve ever played a generous game like the sims social…they always give my friends some free gifts but i always miss the chance…not like my friends..the were so lucky…they can online everytime they want…i can’t….and everytime it got some technical issue,i felt really hurt
I cannot ever upgrade relationship status with friends. Half the time, I can’t send gifts or add people either. I always get the same message: “An error occurred with The Sims Social. Please try again later.”

I am having an issue with building. I bought a new room and went to place ti but when I go to place it there seems to be one of the blocks in the middle where i want to place it is red and wont let me place it. I closed the building mode and look but there is nothing there that needs removed. I have tried repeated time to see what the red block is but nothing to the naked eye. Any one have any suggestions?
I too had trouble with the Sims cash. Every time you move up a level they are supposed to give u another free one. But I am now on level 30 and finally opened up to play today and now have 28 still missing 2. Since i never had any , i never spent any of them so where did the other 2 go?

My living room disappeared, the default room started with….. EVERYTHING IS GONE, and I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE?! I’m a HUGE sim social fan, but If I can’t get my room back and stuff I worked hard everyday to get, Im giving up the game.
Ok, when I click the big yellow check mark so I can build a room I get the Oops! Refresh message every time. Tried clearing cookies, used different computers, this has been going on for days, what give? Why can’t I get past level 14 in writing? There are no options to unlock it just stops. Please fix these issues. Also I try to invite other people to play but they aren’t getting requests and they send me a request and I don’t get theirs.
I have been playing for a few months and have had minor issues here and there, but after a freshment of the page, it is fine. Now, I am trying to build a new room and five people have agreed to “build” the room for me. I have been having an issue with building my new room. I used the simcash to buy the last 2 spots so I could finally build it, used almost all my simcash that I had just got. I bought a room, the two 4×4 put together one, and all my 5 friends have helped me. But everytime I hit build it says “opps we’ve hit a snag, try refreshing your brower, fingers crossed.” and when I refresh nothing same thing everytime. Ive tried 3 different browsers on 4 different computers. So the problem has to be the sims social. Also when I come back it has erased what ive been doing, some of the skill parts Ive done or some things Ive built, like it didnt register me doing them. Please fix this soon, I am about ready to quit this game and I LOVE the Sims. thanks!
Funny, my name is Tara, too! Anyway I’m having the same exact problem with building my room. I got the 5 neighbors to help build it but it says the same thing. It hit a snag. So I’m unable to build my room. Usually when you build a room it’ll say build+share or just build. It just has build and a ! next to it. I really want to build my room but I can’t!!! I’ve been looking forward to it but now its just not working. HELP!!
Sorry if this might be to much, but every time i play sim social. I go to shop to add items in my new room, and when i dont have enough money i sell some things and when I exit it says ” Oops, we have hit a snag. Try reloading, fingers crossed!” It does that everytime I go to shop. Then, when I reload it does the same thing over and over again. I tried restarting my computer and it didnt work. I exit the sim social and went back to it, and it didnt work. I tried putting all my items in the new room fast, but it didnt work. I am getting pretty annoyed selling, adding, and wasting my money. Can you please tell me how i can fix it or fix it for me please? Thanks. :`)

It won’t let ne build my room, I have as many people as I need; but when I click build my room; it says there’s been a snag and they need to reload.
I’m trying to invite other friends, when I click “invite” a box pops up and does nothing, so I close it. I tried to add “neighbors” and it says I have “50 left”….i don’t have any names in the box. When I’m trying to send gifts, that same box pops up….”no names”. How can I ask for help if this game is not letting me invite? thanks
Ive been having the same problems that everyone has been talking about above. But this problem has been like this for almost 3 or 4 weeks now. Im really frustrated , and might stop playing sims because theres no point of doing the same thing over and over again when you cant build rooms. PLEASE fix this problem.

Thus far, I don’t feel that I’m having many troubles except for the fact that I am unable to add/invite any friends to the neighbourhood. Every day it says “CANNOT SEND REQUEST! You have already sent the maximum allowed requests of this type. Please wait until tomorrow to send more.” and I don’t even /have/ any friends on the game. It’s sort of boring solo. All I can do is make my guy flirt.

Everytime i want to build my room, the program says he want to reload. I can do everything except building my roam. I have deletet the coockies etc, i have started the computer again, i have deletet a room (I thought i had maybe the maximum amount rooms), nothing helps. Can you help me?

I bought a room and spent 20 gold and had 1 friend help me to build it but when i click on the check mark to build it there is a red exclamation point and it says build. When I click on build it says that there was an error and I need to reload my page. It’s been doing this for about two weeks now. I just put new wallpaper in one of my rooms over old wallpaper. When I go to my storage and hover over the cash register on my old wallpaper it says “can’t sell this”. What gives?

I am having a problem in this weeks quest, it says to wear a wig and bow or curtsey to other sims. I have no choice to bow or curtsey. I can’t finish the quest until I do it, that means I don’t get the third doll.
I having problem send back gift. Whenever I click send back my game gone freeze till I restart again and all the gift gone, I could not find gift in my inbox anymore. Only way to play is accept without send back… That’s bad! PLEASE FIX!!!

when i send messages to my friends requesting help it says it send but when they try to click it, it doesn’t show up. like when i sent my boyfriend the inseparable status, it shows up in his notifications but not in his Sims mail
Whenever somebody clicks on my wall feed and I delete the notification from my inbox it comes back. It’s been doing this for days now and I now have a ridiculous amount of inbox messages. It’s really annoying, please fix it.

Every time I log in to my account, then go on Sims Social the same things pop up into my inbox, and even though I accept them all it says that I haven’t gotten anything new. For example: My pasterrie thing. I asked for pastry and in my inbox it says ____ gave you pastry! and I say okay, though when I click my pasterrie skill item it doesn’t show any more pastry from last time, plus in my inbox it repeats ____ gave you pastry!

Whenever I try to help my one neighbour it always reloads and none of the energies are used. I can’t help repair or even do talking actions without it hitting a snag and reloading. It works fine on my other friends though. Can someone tell me whats wrong?

I tried to re add them as you would add any friend but they are not listed in the friend list box! I can even go to their fb page and help them out but when I go to play I have lost them as my neighbor and con not visit them. i had complaint this week about my problem and it started working fine now it start back givin trouble. i cannt add friends on sims not even send out gifts to my friend.
I”m sick and tired of the SNAG problem, (and with me allot of other people).
I missed out on a couple of quest becouse of it.
Everytime when i try to start there is the SNAG problem again, i have tried everything
I cleared cache and cookies, defragmented my computer, tried CCLEANER. instaled JAVA and ADOBE(again) but nothing works.
I hate it.

This game is still buggy as hell.
All of the loading issues and bugs that have been around since the beginning still occur frequently.
You should concentrate on having just one quest that works properly rather than pumping out bugged quests one after the other.
After months of playing, I’m finally giving up on this.

Every time I try to play the game it tells me to refresh my browser within a few minutes of playing. My internet appears to be running smoothly. I’ve tried on two different computers and have the same issue on both. During the few minutes I’ve played I earn simoleons by taking pictures of things in the yard or investigating, then the money is gone after it refreshes and of course whatever I took a picture of or investigated is not there anymore so I no longer have the opportunity to earn simoleons. Not to mention that I can’t become inspired without having to reload the game, so I also don’t have the opportunity to earn extra simoleons. What is happening? Can I get my simoleons back please?

They appear on my profile but when i get on the sims it says That i have no new requests and to break the ice by sending gifts. But my friend is having the same exact problem. My web browser refreshes and my ‘messages in Sims Social’ – which is what always appears when I first enter the game – opens. However instead of ‘swimming goggles’, it simply says “No new messages”.
