why is it every time i try to clean cache on computer and clean out fridge the browser needs to reload. i have tried it on firefox and internet explorer, but looking through the discussions board, everyone is having this problem. not happy, now i am stuck and can’t move forward…………
i’ve tried to play the sims social on firefox, internet explorer and google chrome and all 3 are bad, i think its the game itself they need to sort it out first before we can play the game, i have problems with it loading and when it has finally loaded it either runs really slowly or i get a message saying ‘oops we hit a problem’ , ive also tried playing the game on my sisters laptop but its just as bad on there. if they dont sort it soon i will be deleting the game and also blocking it!!!!!!!
I have problems with the loading too daily now for the past week and I get a message saying ‘oops we hit a snag problem etc Reload’ with no results of a fix.
I HAVE DOWNLOADED ADOBE FLASH PLAYER (THE LATEST OVER & OVER … PLUS REMOVED THE GAME & OPEN IT AGAIN BUT THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURS.
I ALSO WROTE A COMPLAINT TO EA GAMES & THERE SUGGESTIONS ARE NOT HELPFUL OF NO SOLUTION THUS FAR.
I NOW FEEL ITS THE BUGS IN THE SIMS SOCIAL GAME … ITS NOT THE DIFFERENT USAGE OF THE BROWSERS … ITS THE SIMS STAFF CREATORS NOT HAVING THEIR GAME COMPATIBLE TO THE ADOBE FLASH PLAYER &/or UPDATES AS THEY SHOULD & THEY NEED TO GET IT CORRECTED AT ONCE !!!
It’s not anything like a browser or flash issues – there is some sort of spliced code in the recent update that reloads *certain* accounts. Not sure if it’s the name, level, or some other status that determines who gets the “oops” messages, but I use the same laptop & same browser for 2 different accounts. One is working perfectly fine, the other gets the “oops” message moments after loading.
Mine keeps saying Reload on one account and is fine on the other account. I wish they would hurry up and fix this problem.
I use Safari and I hardly ever get this try using that see if it works

It’s fake IP, probably The Sims Social Server has maintenance in your country, so try to use another Server.

its not the browsers its your computer,s ram and cpu, size and speed upgrade i never have problems so get more ram and a better cpu and everything will work for you like it does me ………..
it is not due to ram etc. i think u should get more computer knowledge. its because the browser cache gets cleared so it will not load until u reinstall the browser.

I agree with you. There a lot of gliches in Sims Social that they need to work on. I also think that FB has alot to do with the browsers compatability.
Clear your cache and that should get it to work on firefox, doesn’t seem to help with the other browsers though. Also download the latest version of flash.
Totally agree hun, all i get is clear my cookies change my broswers and its still buggered when I do! Sims needs to wake up and realise its THEIR error not ours and stop treating us like idiots!

I have the same problem, and i have gotten so far in the game and i dont like to play it when its so slow.
I think it mostly has to do with your internet connection. I played it on my boyfriend’s computer, on Firefox, and it works smoothly, much better than on my own pc, where I run it on firefox also. He has a higher internet speed than me, so I suppose it has to do with connection speed, rather than with the game itself. Flash player might also be an issue.
I am trying to finish my Zen Garden Quest and to get my extra plot but for 2 days now I am waiting on Lotus to appear on my land and none is appearing. Just when I am about to finish and am on the last lap, no lotus plant is appearing on my land. For 2 days now and I cannot finish the quest. Now I only have 8 hours left to finish and no lotus plant appearing at all. Very frustrating…makes me want to stop playing as this always happens when I am just about to finish a quest. Anyone know anything about this? Please help

I just went to safari. I have an apple and I was using firefox but it kept freezing up.It works great now and I am happy. I have to keep up with my girls.
Sims Social is also freezing and slow in Safari. I am like the rest of you tired of going to these forums when I have a problem with a website. Whatever happened to EA giving good customer service even when everyone has the same problem. I mean, instead of having solutions that don’t necessarily work for everyone. That is instead of creating a forum where the company hardly ever checks and everyone is just complaining.

hello I am trying to find a way to get rubber duckies. Most my friends simply dont have them. I have been trying to build a gun shower for two weeks now and I sold my old shower. I didnt know I was going to have to buy and Build it with rubber duckies. My sim is suffering : ( She needs a real shower bad.

To get rubber duckies you have to fufil your hygiene so keep washing ur hands and hopefully you will get some rubber duckies.hope this helps!
you can ask your friends to send them to you, you dont need them to have one, i send my friends things i dont have all the time, or you could just take loads of baths and clean showers and baths alot. hope this helps,
go to a friends house, if your shower isnt done yet you a can a get a shower there or just keep washing your hands and what she said on how to get them!!

to get rubber duckies is keep taken showers non stop its what i did on my old shower it might not be fun but you do get them for doing that what i did to build my gun shower

If I try to paint on the haunted easel I get the oops, only that, There is no haunted mirror as depicted in the quest, I bought both cracked mirrors, neither work, only 4 days left??? what a scam to get your money. I’m beginning to think this whole Sims app is. I spend alot of money on here,I am not happy.

Me too- I was going to buy some sim cash and do some serious renovating. However, I added a room, and it was clicked on by my neighbors..I keep getting the opps message for which I now have spent 3 hours going in and out….
I have jumped thru all the hoops, clearing cache upgrade of the flash, reinstall the flash, etc etc etc….I am not a dummy and have done everything humanly possible to see if it was something I could fix….
If you go to the EA games website for help, you will get a pile of info on how to play the game, not very useful for technical problems.
I enjoy this game and it is a stress buster for me as a carer…the multitude of load problems etc are taking up so much of my little time that I will be forced to look around elsewhere to spend my money…
So this is a warning if you are reading this….spend your time and money on a game that is consistently working

I’m trying to complete the quest for the dolls and it says click on something in your house and clean, I’ve leaned everything in the place and haven’t gotten credit since the first day.I have 1 out of 6 and it’s going to expire soon. Why????
i had this problem too. Found out it has to be different items that you clean. try stove, grill, shower, toilet, etc but can only get credit once for each item
I got a massive problem with my sim socia, everytime it tries to load the whole house and my avatar it keeps ” oh dear we got a little snag please refresh browser” after i like refreshed it 5 dozen times it still does it! it’s not good to do that at someone who is Autistic (can easily get wound up from a loading fail)
If the creator of the game sorts out this load lag/delay i will be so happy.

How do you get rid of sim friends you have that dont play??? Im sure there are others willing to play and send stuff and help complete tasks but until I find a way to get rid of them I am at a loss… please help
You must unfriend the person entirely.
Go to your profile.
On the right side Click on friends so it brings up your friend list.
Next to the uncooperative neighbor you will see a button that says FRIEND. Hover your cursor over the button and you will see a drop down menu. At the very bottom you will see the option to unfriend.

i have big problem in my sims right now. i am about to rearrange my house, put some of my things to storage also the room itself.. but when i store the room together with the things on it, i noticed that it is not in my storage anymore. i dont know where it goes.. help me please huhuhuhuuhuuhuuh
Look in the rooms box while you are in build on the bottom left
Have the same problem, when i placed my room( the large L shape room) that containing my sofa, bookshelf, kitchen etc. in the Room inventory, and its gone! no where to be found again. It just vanish, and cannot find the items in your inventory. i found out this bug only happened when you store the L shape room. other rooms are safely being store. Hope you guys dont do the same mistake as me, and lose all you valuable items.
just go to ur storage and click the ‘rooms’ category and u will find the L shape room
click storage..then click “room” not “all”…if not found..just keep on refreshing…
That’s because you stored the room with the stuff in it, if you want the things that were in the room, put the room on the land, and there it will be and the things that were in it will still be there, take what you want, then re store it.

Thanks for the tip but it’s too late i already did it too bad…. i was so sad :’( well i stored it with my chillblast fridge my retro sofa, my 6 counter’s, my new computer and my stereo which i bought with 14 sim cash! oh i wish the time will go back.. so that i would not put it in my storage… well better luck next time =(
Hey. If you go to storage and look where it’s separated into categories, the very last one is rooms, and it’ll be stored there. I had the same issue. Took me a while to find it.

what about the cooker? i can use it for preparing meals, but when i want to cater, the arrow pops out saying ‘something is in the way’.
the cooker? is that the gas range with 4 burners? if that then you need a space and a counter or top counter,before you can cook on that your sim needs/must prepare/slice and also a ref where she will take the ingredients..
maybe there’s somethig blocking the way or you can just move it to another place.

hey, i have a problem with one of my rooms beeing missing from storage… the big living/kitchen room we’re givin (wen we first start the game) is gone. i put it into storage so that i could move everything around from scratch but it is not in my storage, i dont know wer its gone. can i get my room back please?? i lost all the tiles and wallpaper and everything and took me ages to buy them, i put most of it contents into my storage first but i think there is also a few small items missing too along with the room. its been gone a week now and problem has not been fixed, would i get conpensation for this because i had to buy new rooms in order to try and replace the missing room, but i want it back. thanks

You probably used some of the necessary materials in crafting a potion, upgrading a writing/musical level or something like that. It happened to me too once. You just have to be sure you ration your materials

When I tried to remove one of my rooms, the browser just freezes and then the whole thing crashes. So I ended up not being able to move that room at all. I tried it on other browsers too, but the same problem still happens. Please fix this. Thank you.
I have the same problem!! If you figure out how to fix it let me know!?! I now have two rooms stuck. Everytime I try to move, rotate, store, or even sell them the games crashes. All my other rooms move just fine??

Love this game waaaaay to much lol very addictive. Ive just had one small problem, while I was rearranging my house, moving rooms etc I ran out of space so placed one of my rooms with all its contents inside it into my storage. I do this all the time but this one time I went to replace the bedroom I had put in storage and it was gone!!?? Its not in the building section either! Im more gutted about losing all the things I had in the room as alot of the objects took me ages to build, some I had spent loads of simeleons on and a few I had paid money to build! Is there anyway I could get these back? Save me going through that long process again and also save my FB cash for the next level…..thanx

My game loads, but I can’t invite neighbours or ask friends for anything!!
I am having repeated issues trying to get items I need to finish tasks, quests, or different catering. Specifically, Press A for Adventure where it won’t let me craft a fun potion to get past it. I’ve wasted 2 fun potions and got no where. Also, I’ve needed milk for a catering job and it won’t let me ask my friends for it and I need history books and rulers to finish a level in painting and every time I try to ask neighbors for it, it reloads and it still won’t work. I know I can get rulers from other painting jobs, but not the history books. I’m continually getting “Oops, we’ve hit a snag. Try refreshing your browser. Fingers crossed!” , but nothing is ever fixed. I really enjoy this game, but I’ve been having these problems for weeks now. Is anything being done about it? Do I need to contact someone specifically? Someone please help me. I’m getting very frustrated! Thanks!

I’ve tried to make it so that my boyfriends sim and my own can go to the status “Soulmates”. I send the request, he gets it, hits “accept”. but nothing happens. whats going on?
Does anyone else have problems sending gifts? Or receiving requests? I had someone request to be “Good Friends” with me, and when I’d click it.. it’d bring me to the game. But it would be gone! Also, when I try to send Thank You Gifts for helping with certain things, or just gifts in general, the game sort of freezes and won’t start up again unless I refresh the page :/

you use ‘print screen’ it should be at the top of your keyboard as “prt sc” which is located close to your home, delete buttons and after you click that, you paste it onto paint nd save it

play your guitar for fun, you will definitely get fury. go to neighbors and do mean actions [it's good if you have a bad relationship with some]. you can also request them.
I am so confused and disappointed. I went to shop for clothes and hair. I previously bought a beautiful plum color and thought for certain it would be put in my storage if I bought another color, just like clothing. It wasn’t and now I have spent many sim points on hair colors only to realize that you can only use one and you have to purchase each one each time you use it. This completely sucks!

I have a problem, and I don´t now what to do. I´m about gaining cooking-skills. I have leveled ALL up at the coffee-machine, the microwave, the waffelmaker, the stove and the bbq, exept the last recipe ! I need to have 86 cooking skills to unlock it, but I do not know how to get the last cooking-skill. I´m at 85 now!.

I accidentally dragged my largest room (my living room) with a lot of items that were limited items, purchased with SimCash and many items were my skill earning items into my storage area. Now there is NOTHING from that room, including the actual room, in my storage.
How can I get these items and my room back? I have rebuilt (sort-of) my floor plan so that I can play but I spent a lot of SimCash and now I have lost those items.
Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to recover these losses. I realize that this is my fault, by accident but I thought I would ask.
I am also noticing that my purchased clothes are disappearing a couple of days after I buy them with SimCash and/or Simoleons.

u cant get it back…. Because the build mode doesnt hv ur original room that default when u started game early. SO dont ever storge that room when u hv put a lot of item.

heyy, does anyone know if you can just build walls/ take down walls? rather than rooms…. kind of like the actual sims versions. i want to rearrange my house and put up some walls at certain places.
All I know is to rotate rooms. TSS should make way to that. :S

No you cant take down walls.
The game has a bug. I have lots of “Buzz” but the game cannot recognize it. In my craft folder it ‘s 0 but in my backpack it’s around 23 already.
I lost a whole room by putting it in my storage guessing it’s a bug.

One of my quests is entitled “Garden of Delights”. One of the task is to water 4 plants. I have 3 of 4 listed. I kep watering my own plants & my friend’s plants. It gives me points but it doesn’t complete the task for me. The day that I recieved the new quest, I did have problems with game loading. Can I get help passing this task? Thanks.

i was redoing the layout of my rooms and i moved 1 room up to the top so i could put a bigger one in its place but now when i try to move the room at the top to place it in it place the game freezing up i cant move the room or rotate the room or even sell the room

I am Having Object loading problems when i am visiting other sims. It keeps on loading only And when i tried to restore my neigbours crops, then every time my sim started reviving, the error came up and i had to reload my page. And it did not revive the crop…so no points for me. Every time i tried it keeps crashing.

There is a bug when reviving crops. Tried this in all browsers; safari, chrome, and IE. Is this a temporary thing or just a permanent bug overlooked. I can’t complete quest “Needs to know”.

Ok guys and girls here is one for you, ive posted this on the Sims social page and never had a reply, I’m on the Holding out for a hero quest and it says put on the hero mask and announce you are a hero to 5 sims, then you have to show off your super hero powers to 5 sims as well, problem is I and others have been stuck on this same quest for a week now and still dont know where the mask is? Ive completed 140 of 155 quests but cant seem to go any further until ive done this one and its really bugging me now, ive tried everything to find out where it is?? any ideas anyone??

click on your sim and click change appearance and then click on the head and click facial accessories or whatever that one is with like glasses and stuff and the mask will be in there…hope that helps!

I am on the quest where you have to hug 5 sims.. Everytime I try to gain a skill point on the Haunted Easle, I am never able to complete it all the way. I always get the “Oops, we’ve hit a snag!” message and I have to reload, which resets the whole thing. It is getting very aggravating. Also, on my girlfriend’s profile, she cannot move the room she added on or rotate it without getting the same message.

I have reached level 14 in a few of my skills but to buy new equipment you must reach level 15. How do you that if my equipment now only allows me up to level 14?
you need to buy other equipment which then allows u to level up. e.g. for painting, one of the easels has certain levels, then u need to buy another easel…

It’s in the clothing screen under head>accessories (with the glasses and such). You select it to put it on, then do the task.
i’ve already checked (hair>glasses/acessories), but its not there. =(
Most of the time you have to wait til it comes available to you. It’s not always available at the same time the quest comes out. Eventually it will turn up!

You have to finish a bunch of the tasks you already have. That’s how I got them. They don’t just appear you have to clear out some of the ones you already have.
Everytime I use the easel, it crashes my game and doesn’t save the progress. I’ve given up on it.

Yep. Had the same problem, but I solved it by moving the counter to another room, placed the stuff on it and then placed it in the kitchen again
If you have your table or counter on a rug, take the rug out, put the item on top, then put the rug back.
Many members of my family are playing Sims Social. When we compare notes, it seems we are not playing the same game! We’ve each experienced different problems and have tried to help each other with solutions but the suggestions aren’t always helpful. One of my daughters has every Halloween extra, another cannot buy the haunted mirror & I have not had a single Halloween quest opportunity. It doesn’t seem to matter what level we have achieved or how many simoleons we have. It’s strange to all of us how different our individual experiences have become.

how do you get skulls from the last lvl. of the “ghost town” quest??
You need to perform interactions on the haunted skill items, so the haunted easel or haunted desk – skulls will not drop for interactions with the normal skill items, just the haunted ones. You can get either item from the shop, although the easel needs to be “built”, so will need a few other items to finish it. Also, the skull is a random drop from interacting with these items, so the option to collect a skull does not appear from clicking the skill items, you need to paint or write to get them

I finished the quest for the cookoo clock. Paid actual money for a portion of it. My clock has been there all week. Now today since all the things are in the shop my spot where my clock was just sits and spins under it. I can hover over the spinner and get the list of options to do but it doesn’t make my sim do anything if I click it. I have reloaded over and over and my cookoo clock will not come back. just the spinning thing. What do i do??

i am unable to reach level 86 for cooking to unlock the next level for BBQ. can anyone help? I have checked through all the cooking equipment i have, i have completed them all except for the BBQ. how is it that with only 1 more level left to complete and now i am at level 84, how am i going to reach level 86 to unlock the next level?
i have been levelling up without increase any increase in simcash.now i feel v cheated. pls help! i am now level 45.

I am stuck on the music skill! I need one more music point to be able to level up in my music skill. I have the guitars and keyboards, yet somewhere I am lacking one point, but I don’t have anywhere to go to get that point. Was there a quest I needed to complete in order to get the extra point? Im having difficulty with they japan quests. The quest where you buy 4 items from the japan range, i bought 3 items and placed them in my home but the quest still says i have 0/4 items, did i buy the wrong items? what should I do? help please

Is there a way that quest tasks can be more specific… I have spent a lot of simoleans (thousands) on purchasing items which I am instructed to do in order to move forward in a quest, only to find that nothing happens… perhaps it is sometimes a glitch in the game, but sometimes I think it’s because I am purchasing the wrong items… eg’s are Halloween Quest (for the purple tree) “purchase 3 outdoor Halloween decorations” I purchased 2xjack-o’lanterns & a pumpkin wreath for the front door… not one of them counted as an outdoor decoration, despite being specifically used outdoors at this time of year… I am now struggling with “buy a desk” in the Clues quest… I already had 3, (one of which is in storage) but I bought a 4th one… nothing happened… so I thought about it & as the accompanying chair had to be over 500 simoleans I reasoned that the desk might need to be as well… the one I had purchased was 350 simoleans so I bought a 900 simolean desk… still nothing! The only other desk I can see is in the thousands & I really don’t want to buy a 6th desk I don’t really need with half my savings in the hope it is accepted by the quest parameters… are there any suggestions that might help? I am enjoying the challenges & the fun of it all – but when I keep trying to play the game & getting nowhere like this it’s discouraging!
I think we are not able to level up our skills past 85 because they (Sims Social Developers) are still working on items for the game that would let us do so. I think the main thing they should fix is the Astonish furniture! I paid 10000 simoleons for the dresser and its not even spaced properly. WTH!?!

I posted the request on my wall, but accidentally deleted it. Now, when I go back in to have that post re-post on my wall, it won’t let me. The option is not even there. i have another suggestion, stop doing everything in triplicate! you request close friend etc, 3 notices come up, only one is needed, someone sends you things, you accept, no need for the remove sign, its the same with other things too, i think stopping this will make the game lot faster, you visit and at the end you get asked twice to send message that you were there, my visits take forever, i have lots of neighbours, and all with high k points which takes ages to load so this would be helpful. i really enjoy the game but these things make it really slow. thankyou for your time
i want to suggest that sims people be able to interact more in real time when neighbors are playing and also they should be able to have yard sales, for those items bought and no longer need or want.
this would totally be a great idea to even be able to give ur ‘old’ stuff to other friends.

Hello, I’m have a slight concern with ‘Room Building’. I have a completed room where my friends have helped but every time I click to finish it I get a pop up that says, “Oops, we’ve hit a snag. Try refreshing your browser. Fingers crossed!” I don’t know what to do so I can finish the room. I’ve refreshed multiple times and this has been happening for the past few days now. I’ve refreshed, logged out then back in, removed the app re-added the app. I don’t know what else to do. It’s not the first room I’ve built either. If anyone can help please do. It’s kinda starting to annoy me a little.

Click on ‘Clothes’ then ‘Storage’. Once you find the wolf’s tail in your clothing storage you can click the ‘Remove’ option and it should be removed from your Sim.

Click the build tab.
Click the tiles tab.
There is a tile with a big red x on it. It is free.
Click it and “install” it over the tiles you have already laid.
This will automatically erase the tiles at your house and put them in storage for you.

I keep getting jacked out of my sim coins and social points because i accept my gifts then it never loads so i dont get the stuff my friends have sent me cause i have to reload it before i can scroll over my stuff. its making me very angry cause it happens every time.

This is for anyone who can’t find the superhero mask:
There are two different stories about this problem.
A.) For some players there is a glitch that causes the quest chain to skip the quest that asks you to order the mask and get it via the mailbox. I’m also reading that the developers are aware of this and are looking into it.
B.) For those who have done the quests and “Should” have the mask, it can be found in the clothing section => Head => Accessories. After clicking Accessories Click the Storage button below the selection of items to buy. The Mask is supposed to show up there, once you have it. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MASK! IT LOOKS LIKE GLASSES!

I cleaned the stove and got credit for that but nothing else needs cleaning and I have clicked on everything in my house to polish with no luck…PLEASE help with this problem. The trick is you have to clean 5 different items, if you use the sink severall times til it gets dirty then clean it. It just can’t be the same item you are cleaning over and over. Some things you can clean: toilet, sinks, shower, ovens….etc.

Shelly, I ran into the same problem. What I had to do was buy another sink and when that got dirty, I cleaned it and it processed it. You have to clean 5 different items. I know it sucks, wasted energy and time.
what’s up with the new quest? We are supposed to curtsey or bow to 6 sims but that option is rarely available. I have visited a dozen of sims and the curtsey option has appeared only once.

I had problems with the dolls in the lasts quest. It said to clean six things and when I would clean it wouldn’t give me the credit for them. I only get the oops error every once in a while but there are some things that are really aggravating and I wish they would get them fixed.
It also won’t let me obtain the inseparable status it will send the request but when my husband accepts it it will not go any further.
I keep trying to complete this 3 dolls quest and cannot seem to. It says to complete tasks on the perfume table, so I go to Bellas and mix perfume and apply perfume repeatedly to no effect. Then I realize that its showing a different item to use to complete the task ( toiletries stand). So i purchase that item with sims cash and I cannot even click on it to perform actions. I have tried moving it around, etc. NOTHING WORKS. I really want that fountain. HELP! There is only 29 minutes of that quest left now.

I cannot complete the last skill on the mat goal. It says I must have the athlete trait but that isn’t an option to chose in my traits.
I think it means as in the personality you choose at the beginning. Click the clothes button, on the left under the name, there is personality, click on that and athlete is in there.

I have a quest I’m supposed to do. It says I need to revive 10 withered crops. So I plant some crops and let them wither, but when I click on them, it just gives the option to remove and not to revive. PLEASE help me with this I’ve been stuck on this FOREVER!!!! What do I do????
You’ve got to revive other peoples, ask one of your friends to let their plants wither. Go visit them and revive their plants and go home again. Then reload the game and go back to your friends again and their plants will still be withered ( as long as they’ve not gone on to play and accepted you reviving them) you can then revive again, go home. Then re load AGAIN, visit friend, revive, go home, task done!
You need to revive your friends withered crops.
You can only revive crops at other people’s houses
I need animals in my yard to take photos of but I havent had an animal in weeks! HELP!
Quite often the animals can be hiding behind objects, you’ll get an animal every time you re load the game, but you might have to go into build mode a move objects around to find them

Crafted at least 6 fun potions for the Press A for Adventure quest and it won’t credit me. What do I do?? This is annoying as I am gathering all the stuff I need time and time again with no luck.
I have Google Chrome and suddenly I couldn’t request or accept requests- I tried clearing my cache, updating flash etc. and it still won’t work, I am getting tired of fighting this, the game is supposed to be fun but it’s turning into a lot of trouble- I think I’ll pass on it for a while and see if the problems clear up- I just wish the Sims Social programming staff would read these, they’d get to work pronto (or they should!) :-/

hello! I have a very serious PROBLEM with the quest “The French Connection” when i want to buy the neckerchief at the step 5, it appears an error ” Oops, we’ve hit a snag. Try refreshing your browser. Fingers crossed! (3215)” I tried to do the quest from another computer and i have the same problem (I don’t think that the problem is on the computer or at the internet connection)…What can i do? Dear Fellow Social Sims players,
I have come to find a bug with the 8×10 room that cost my wife 2+ mo of her work and almost got me as well. So I know it has happened to more players.
The Bug:
After buying a 8×10 Room for 15,000 simoleons. While waiting for the 8 people to help you build your room *(Don’t matter if it is beach house or original property) if you goto leave the area that it was purchased in it will ask you to BUY that property (12,000 simoleons for beach and 10,000 for Original property)
There is 3 Options here:
1) DONT CLICK ANYTHING! Refresh and this will/should fix it (worked for me at least but ONLY after the room was complete.
2) Buy it… you will NOT be able to access anything your property had once you do this it all is still there and your friends will see you OWN 3 properties – but only 2 are accessible EVER again.
3) if your room is not complete and you refresh it will keep asking you to buy it… if you goto your other property before the room is complete your kinda stuck with option 2 as you cant get back to the property to fix it.
Do note if they don’t fix this there is some BENEFITS if you know this is going to happen, or Pros if you would.
1)you don’t lose any house value only gain more from the new Property.
2)you get 2 free large rooms
3)they furnish your new pad for you with better items =P
4)Its a great way if you have a mass collection of items and no room to just DUMP a BUNCH of it that you will never use again and get even MORE in house value and lots of free room.. call it a warehouse for unwanted goods if you will.
5) If you have used all space possible and bought all outer land property in the original you get max benefit of “warehouse junk storage” but do note in the “new” property that extra land is EXPENSIVE starting at 20k simoleons and more contracts/signatures than the final land in the “original” original property.
I only suggest causing this to happen if your fully prepared for the bug to occur…
PLEASE NOTE: I have contacted EA about this for my wife’s sake as she was unaware of it when it happen and as noted up top lost 2 mo of her work that she can no longer access. EAs only response was Generic in nature and I am still responding to boring auto selected response emails like – uninstall the game — check java and flash — yadda yadda anyway Happy hunting and check me on Facebook: osani@ymail.com

Recently when i load the sims game it keeps crashing saying a shockwave problem nothing on my computer has changed but game is not loading problem causing to not be able to play.
I had to download google chrome because sims social stopped working on the internet explorer. It would say that i needed to update my adobe flash player. when i knew that my adobe was recent was when i downloaded google chrome and everything worked fine. now i can’t play on this internet program either because shockwave player keeps “crashing” . i enjoy playing this game but it upsets me how i have to keep downloading other programs in order for me to play it and it continues to mess up. and a while ago i wanted to complete this french quest for a nice bed and i never could because it would always hit a snag. it’s so frustrating >.>

I’ve been having a LOT of trouble loading the game in the last 2 weeks. i have to refresh my page up to 5 times in order for it to work. Also, now when I’m building something and I need to “Ask Friends” for items the “Ask Friends” button is NOT there. It’s doing my head in because I have 5 days to do the Casino Table challenges in order to get that doll. I thought if I refreshed it would be fine but no matter how many times I try it absolutely won’t work. HELP!

Hey everyone – My Sims has to reload after 30 minutes! I clear my cache, I update everything that needs to be updated – as soon as I complete a task, Sims “has an error”. When I log in again, that task is again not completed!
I also have a problem with the gifts I receive – sometimes I can’t get them! I click on Inbox and my post box, but I can’t get my gifts!
My computer is fine – it’s new and updated.
It happens everytime these quests are coming to an end. I accept received items sims send, and they don’t count until the quest ends. Then they suddenly come through, but I don’t need them anymore. I haven’t been able to complete the quests in time to receive the prize, because of that. I’ve emailed you guys and no response or compensation for the games malfunction. I begin these quests as soon as they are available and keep on top of them.

The snag it’s come from the cache from the browser. clear the cache on your browser. and also i recommended you to use google chrome. It’s not lot of snag and more faster and comfit with the sims game. Hope this wa helpful.

for the chrome user, the page tell about why the shockwave always crash… and it also help reduce snag during gameplay… but it cannot do anything about bug of the sims social.. it work for me cause i dont have a snag frequently.. just sharing… PS: sorry for the bad english

Hello… I have run into a problem which has been going for over 24 hours and has me at a standstill: In order to fulfill the requirement to earn simoleons by writing, I need to activate a new skill item. Every time I try to “build” it, however, an error message pops up saying we’ve hit a snag and to reload the page. I have tried 3 different items and the same thing happens with each one. Hi there, for the past few days i have been having problems sending my sims frd request for items to unlock levels for quest.. currently im doing the sculpture.. they asked to “asked new facebook frds to get free collectible daily..” which I find it funny. I cant chose my existing sims frds for help request.. do u have any idea why is this so ?? i really need help… i also having difficulties in completing due to lack of request & items to unlock for quest.. what a dissapointed thing… Thanks ….
what’s wrong with Sims Social it’s not loading at all for me and tried IE and Firefox but neither work but all other pages load and it’s been over half an hour now and just installed latest Adobe Flashplayer and still doesn’t work
